Allegheny National Forest
A hiker's diary:
   Getting away from it all.

Friday, February 18
It seemed like the clock was ticking away the
minutes a lot slower than usual. I had
meetings scheduled at work from 9 to Noon
and from 2 to 4. When I finally got to my 3 PM
meeting, I mentioned that it would be great if
we could stick to the agenda and get out of
this one early - so much for meeting
facilitation.
We concluded at 4:20 and I ended up
missing the 4:35 train. Now I wouldn't be
getting to my truck until after 6:40 and I
wanted to be on the road to Allegheny no
later than 6:30. I got to the truck and drove
straight to EMS to pick up the snowshoes I
had rented for the trip.
