I called no_granola (John) and let him know I was going
to be picking him up about an hour after we had
planned. "No problem," he said. Apparently, there had
been an accident on the road he was traveling and he
was also delayed in getting to our meeting place.

Once we connected, we transferred all his gear to my
truck and in about 15 minutes, we were on the road at
last! No more than 10 minutes into the trip, my cell
phone rang with a text message from lilmountaingirl
(Kim) - "drinking beers with ardwick (Brad) - what are
you guys doing?" I rolled my eyes and passed the
message to John and we both laughed. I responded
that we were on the road and making our way toward
Harrisburg. John and I knew we had a little over 5 ½
hours of driving before we got to the trailhead at Hearts
Content.
